Product Details

The Crisis 101 Workbook is your most essential tool (besides the Bible) to help you get the most out of this fantastic series. This workbook is designed to follow the DVD series Crisis 101: Back to the Basics featuring Dr. Robert J. Morgan, author of the best-selling book, The Red Sea Rules. This series is also online, contact your church leader for information on connecting with the online version. The introduction to each session gives you a glimpse of what will be discussed. All of the sessions (except Session 10) are set up in a standard format. They will open with Part 1 of a testimony, followed by a teaching segment of 8-11 minutes, a discussion break, Part 2 of the testimony, a second teaching segment, and a wrap up discussion. Each session will also include a personal reflection section where participants will be challenged to apply the teaching. EVERYONE needs to have their own manual. Applications will be personal.

Before starting the video your coach/facilitator may ask you to discuss any homework assignment from the previous session, so be prepared to share what you have done. Below are the steps to get the most out of your workbook and the Crisis 101 program.

1. Fill in the blanks as you view the teaching. This will help reinforce the lesson.
2. Participate in the discussion during the break and at the end of the session. Add your thoughts to the group and discover what others think.
3. Complete the activities at the end of each session. The personalized applications are the key to make the teaching come alive in your life.

Workbook questions will help you evaluate your impressions of the testimony and the content of the teaching segments. Take every opportunity to write down your thoughts. Your facilitator will provide plenty of time for discussion and will be prepared to answer questions.
Pay special attention to the action steps.

Keep in mind, Crisis 101 is much more than just a resource to help you personally, it is specifically designed so you can follow in the footsteps of Jesus. He was always stepping into the lives of people in crisis and giving them hope, love, and affirmation. You can do the same with the teaching you receive and the amazing book, The Red Sea Rules.

This workbook is something you will keep as a resource for years to come. The lessons learned in these pages will establish a foundation for you to build and strengthen every relationship in your life. YOU can become an ambassador for Christ as you step into the lives of others and encourage them. Enjoy this series, do the work, and the rewards will last a lifetime.

Session Titles

Rule 1: Realize that God means for you to be where you are
Peter writes "Don't be surprised at the fiery ordeal that comes to you". Trials, troubles, and crisis many times surprise us, even anger us. Learn what it means to see God in "all" things.

Rule 2: Be more concerned for God's glory than your relief
Most of the time our cry is "God, get me out of this mess!!" Dr. Morgan helps us to see that God's glory is much more important than our immediate rescue.

Rule 3: Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord
Satan is often given more credit than he is due. He is a "roaring lion" seeking to devour us, but our eyes need to be focused on the One who is our refuge, strength, and deliverer.

Rule 4: PRAY!!
Prayer, our main source of strength and wisdom, can often be the last thing we think of when faced with crisis. Prayer keeps us centered, focused, and near to God. Listen close to this one.

Rule 5: Stay calm and confident, give God time to work
"Those that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength", but we don't want to wait when difficulty comes. Learn how to avoid PANIC MODE and be productive while we wait on God.

Rule 6: When unsure, just take the next logical step by faith
Crisis can often paralyze us, we become clouded with uncertainty and don't know what to do. Sometimes simply taking the next logical step is the best answer. God can direct as we move.

Rule 7: Envision God's enveloping presence
Discover what it means to embrace the grace of God. Dr. Morgan gives us insight on how God's presence can sustain us in the midst of difficulties.

Rule 8: Trust God to deliver in His own unique way
"God moves in mysterious ways". We have often heard that phrase. Do we believe it? This challenging lesson shows us that God may not deliver how we expect, or may not at all.

Rule 9: View your crisis as a faith builder for the future
Learn that faith, like our muscles, grow with exercise. It may be hard, almost exhausting, when our faith is stretched. Find how God will use your faith to help others as you grow stronger.

Rule 10: Don't forget to PRAISE Him!
Crisis leads us to PRAISE! Ouch! Praise can be very difficult in the midst of trouble. The letter from James tells us to "Count it all JOY" when we face trials. Hear the testimonies of praise and listen as Dr. Morgan coaches us on how to do the same.
