Family

The nuclear family is under attack more than any other part of our culture. The very definition of family is being twisted and distorted to fit into a worldview that is far from God’s original intent. This attack has been, in a large part, successful as we see the result of broken and dysfunctional homes. Rising crime rates, drug addiction, sexual abuse, and domestic violence are all strong evidence that something is drastically wrong with the families in America. We, at Grace Ministries, fully understand that many of those issues revolve around the relationships in the home and the dedication to Christ of the Mom & Dad. These four series will help rebuild those bonds and deepen the relationship to Christ of every participant.

    Family

Family 101:The smiling happy faces a minister may see on Sunday morning are not necessarily the same expressions those faces have in their homes. Family 101 takes 10 of the “one-another” passages from New Testament and helps believers apply them in the most difficult place of all, their own home. Dr. Gary & Barb Rosberg (America’s Family Coaches) open their hearts and guide us through these basic principles of how to live out God’s commands. Learn to love, forgive, pray, and be devoted to those we cherish the most. This series also features the Skit Guys with their own unique brand of humor. 10 sessions, each about 25 minutes.

    Fathering 101

Fathering 101 – Be the Dad…God wants you to be: “Fatherlessness”, a term we recognize but seldom understand the tremendous impact it has on our society and the Church. The breakdown of the family is at the core of many of our nation's ills. And it must be noted, that just because a father is in the home, does not mean he is an “abiding Dad”. Any male can become a father, but it takes a real man to be a “Dad”. Bill Dotson authored the book From F.A.I.T.H. to F.A.I.T.H. It stands for, Fathers Absent in the Home to Fathers Abiding in the Home. A father may be present in the home but that does not mean he is “abiding”. Too often fathers take a back seat in bringing their children up in the ways of God. It is left to the Mom, the church, or a grandparent. This is not God’s way. Fathering 101 brings men back to the basics of what it means to be a man of God and to firmly grasp the role to “Be the Dad…God wants you to be”. 10 sessions, instructor training, class length determined by group leader. Available in SPANISH!
